Bookings
Bookings can be made online, by telephone or by an email enquiry.
When you submit a booking via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated booking summary, by email, to the email address you provide in the booking form. This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing, via a letter of confirmation sent to you, by post or email.
If you book by telephone or via email, we will provisionally reserve the cottage for you for 7 days. This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing, via a letter of confirmation sent to you, by post or email, after we have received your completed booking form and deposit.
Payment
One third of the booking fee to be forwarded with the booking form as a deposit or at the time of online booking. The balance to be received by us no later than four weeks before date of arrival. Payments can be made by cheque, to be made payable to ‘Johnathan Napier’. Website online booking allows you to pay by debit or credit card.
Cancellation
Any cancellation must be notified as soon as possible for us to re-let the property. Refunds (less a £30 administration fee) will only be made should we be able to re-let the property. It is up to the holidaymaker to arrange cancellation insurance.
Number of persons using the accommodation
The cottages are designed for the comfortable occupation of a maximum of six persons, including children, and this cannot be exceeded.
Dogs
Well behaved dogs, over 18 months old, are accepted in the cottages, up to a maximum of two per cottage. Holidaymakers are liable for any damage caused by pets. You are asked to remove all trace of your dog’s occupancy, inside and outside the property before final departure. An extra charge will be made for any additional cleaning caused by pets. Pets are not allowed on beds or furniture and they should not be left alone in the property. Within the grounds of the property, pets should always be on a lead.
Arrival and Departure
The normal time of arrival is after 4.00 pm on the holiday start date. Should an alternative time or day be required then please advise us by telephone at least 24 hours before. The property must be vacated by 10.00 am on the day of departure. The normal weekly booking is Saturday to Saturday, with the exception of Christmas and New Year. Short breaks can be catered for between October and the end of March or at short notice.
Electricity
The cost of the electricity used is charged over and above the rental and is made by meter reading at the end of your stay. The cost is at the current Hydro-Electric Rates.
Holidaymaker’s responsibilities
The holidaymaker must keep the property and all furniture, fittings and effects in the same state of repair and condition as at the start of the holiday and must leave the property in as good a state of cleanliness as to which it was found. An extra charge will be made for any excess cleaning. The holidaymaker will be responsible for all damage or loss which occurs to the property or its contents during occupation and is responsible for paying appropriate compensation.
Access
The holidaymaker is aware the cottages are accessed by a one mile farm track, which has a hard surface.
